Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to oversee key accounting and reporting activities within a logistics-focused finance team. This full-time, on-site role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting reporting requirements, and providing oversight of accounts payable operations.
Working closely with finance leadership, this position contributes to monthly close activities, financial analysis, reconciliations, payroll support, audit preparation, and process enhancement initiatives. The role also serves as a resource for transactional accounting functions while helping ensure compliance with established accounting standards and internal controls.
What You'll Do:

Compile financial reports and supporting schedules used in monthly reporting cycles.

Coordinate journal entry activity and maintain general ledger accuracy.

Perform balance sheet and cash account reconciliations while resolving variances.

Review operating results and analyze fluctuations across financial statement accounts.

Direct day-to-day accounts payable workflows, vendor account reviews, payment processing, and prioritization efforts.

Support receivable-related activities when business needs require additional assistance.

Administer weekly agent payroll functions and address payment discrepancies.

Assist with external audit requests and required financial documentation.

Participate in month-end and year-end close procedures.

Generate recurring and special-purpose reports for management decision-making.

Identify efficiency opportunities and recommend enhancements to accounting processes.
What We're Looking For:

Bachelor degree in Accounting or a related accounting-focused curriculum.

Background in professional accounting with exposure to full-cycle accounting responsibilities.

Experience supervising, coordinating, or providing leadership within accounts payable operations.

Knowledge of U.S. accounting practices, including accrual-based reporting principles.

Advanced spreadsheet capabilities, particularly within Microsoft Excel.

Strong analytical thinking, organization, and problem-resolution abilities.

Ability to balance competing deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
