Assistant Design Project Manager
Our client, a rapidly growing national organization with hundreds of locations across the U.S., is seeking an Assistant Design Project Manager to support its Real Estate & Design team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career design professional who wants hands-on exposure to large-scale, multi-site development projects while building toward a Design Project Manager role.
This position plays a key role in supporting projects from initial concept through construction, ensuring brand consistency, efficient execution, and alignment with company-wide design standards.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in developing design packages for new builds, renovations, and acquired locations

Maintain and update project documentation, including trackers, specifications, and budget-related materials

Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and vendors to ensure project milestones are met

Review drawings and submittals to ensure compliance with established design standards

Support procurement and tracking of furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E)

Partner cross-functionally with Real Estate and Construction teams to address design-related questions and challenges
Ideal Background
-
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture

1–3 years of experience in design, architecture, or project coordination (corporate or multi-site experience preferred)

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

Collaborative mindset with the ability to communicate effectively across teams

Solution-oriented approach with a desire to grow into a full Design Project Manager role
