Associate Attorney

PangeaTwo is partnering with a well-established and growing civil litigation firm to identify a motivated Associate Attorney to join their expanding defense practice. Role Overview

The Associate Attorney will support senior attorneys and partners on all phases of civil defense litigation—from early case assessment through discovery, motion work, depositions, mediation, and trial preparation. The role provides substantial exposure to complex matters and the opportunity to contribute directly to case strategy and client outcomes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse caseload of civil defense matters from initial intake to resolution

  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and memoranda

  • Conduct and defend depositions

  • Participate in hearings, court appearances, mediations, and trial preparation

  • Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and the court

  • Assist in developing case strategy and ensuring timely case progression


Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school

  • Active license to practice law in the relevant state(s)

  • 1–5 years of civil litigation experience (defense experience preferred)

  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical abilities

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
