Property Accountant

Our client, a specialized multi-family property management company, is seeking a Property Accountant to join their growing accounting team. We’re partnering with them to find a detail-oriented accounting professional with at least 2 years of general ledger experience who can also mentor newer team members and help support their expanding portfolio of multi-family properties.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage general ledger accounting for multi-family property portfolios
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports
- Assist in month-end and year-end close processes
- Reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies
- Mentor and support junior accountants and new graduates
- Collaborate with property management teams to ensure accounting accuracy
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 2 years of general ledger accounting experience
- Experience or strong interest in real estate accounting, preferably multi-family properties
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and GAAP
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to mentor and support less experienced team members
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
