We're looking for an IT Service Technician to join our Birmingham, AL headquarters!
Are you a tech whiz who thrives on variety? This role will keep you on your toes! You'll tackle everything from everyday PC issues to server maintenance, new equipment setup, and phone/printer management. No two days are alike in this fast-paced environment, and you'll gain tons of experience (technical and interpersonal) along the way. We're looking for an IT Service Technician to join our Birmingham, AL headquarters!
Are you a tech whiz who thrives on variety? This role will keep you on your toes! You'll tackle everything from everyday PC issues to server maintenance, new equipment setup, and phone/printer management. No two days are alike in this fast-paced environment, and you'll gain tons of experience (technical and interpersonal) along the way. Plus, get ready for occasional international adventures to provide on-site support!
What you'll do:
- Assist our overseas service team lead with project management and support.
- Troubleshoot and fix IT problems for the team (think break/fix).
- Meet strict deadlines for resolving issues and deploying new users.
- Set up accounts and email for international team members.
- Provide feedback to improve our operations based on your on-the-ground experience.
- Manage phone systems (WebEx) and mobile phones (Meraki/Verizon) for the International Group.
- Help acquire, track, document, and maintain IT equipment.
- Lend a hand with special projects and disaster recovery.
- Keep our office printers running smoothly (troubleshooting, replacing supplies, coordinating with external technicians).
- Help us refine processes and documentation.
- Travel internationally to help deploy new projects (when needed).
- Maintain IT systems following established procedures (Server 2016/2019).
- You have 1-5 years of IT experience, ideally with a Managed Service Provider (MSP).
- You're a Microsoft Office pro (especially Excel and Outlook).
- You're flexible and can meet deadlines even outside of typical business hours.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to thrive under pressure, independently or as part of a team.
- Self-sufficiency - you don't need constant supervision.
- Top-notch time management skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety protocols.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Commitment to following company security standards and procedures.
- A personality that reflects our company culture, both at home and abroad.
