The Senior Fixed Asset Accountant will play a critical role in the accounting and reconciliation of fixed assets, as well as conducting financial assessments that will significantly influence the strategic direction of the company. Responsibilities:
- Manage the accounting and reconciliation of fixed assets in accordance with GAAP and company policies
- Ensure accurate recording and tracking of fixed asset acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper capitalization and classification of fixed assets
- Conduct regular reviews and audits of fixed asset records to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Prepare and analyze financial reports related to fixed assets, providing insights and recommendations to senior management
- Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures related to fixed assets
- Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes by providing financial assessments and analysis related to fixed assets
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in fixed asset accounting or related field
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, with advanced Excel skills
- Strong understanding of GAAP
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
