PUBLIC ACCOUNTANTS – this is the corporate accounting opportunity that will excite you! Due to our client’s continued success, they are looking to add a top-notch Corporate Accounting Analyst to their team. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in public accounting with exposure to US GAAP reporting and internal financial statement reporting. Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and compile results for the company’s consolidated financial package
- Work closely with the financial reporting team to prepare quarterly reporting packages and thoroughly explain any variances in results
- Assisting with the monthly closing process for a portfolio of subsidiary companies
- Collaborating with external auditors on audit requests, documentation, etc.
- Assisting with preparation and review of monthly journal entries and supporting analyses
- Completing technical accounting research and documentation, as well as maintaining internal accounting policies across a variety of complex areas
- Assisting in the review of other external reporting requirements during the year, e.g. investor and lending community information and presentations
- Provide ad hoc analysis and support as necessary, demonstrating flexibility and responsiveness to evolving business needs
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
- CPA certification or progress towards certification preferred
- 1+ years of experience in public accounting preferred
- Strong GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls knowledge
- Experience with the research and application of complex technical accounting and reporting matters
- Self-starter, who can independently complete complex and judgmental tasks
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills
