Corporate Real Estate Attorney

Our partner is seeking an Experienced Corporate Real Estate Attorney to join their Birmingham office. Ideal candidate will have 5-10 years experience in Commercial Real Estate.

  • Working on business structuring and transactional matters relating to complex tax planning and commercial real estate
  • Contributing to the coordination and execution of successful commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions; debt and equity transactions; dispositions; joint ventures; real estate funds; alternative investment structures; tax credits and tax-advantaged investing; legal entity structuring; and assisting with federal, state, and local tax planning
  • Reviewing/drafting/preparing, among other things, limited liability company agreements, joint venture agreements, preferred equity investments, and real estate fund documents
  • Providing tax counsel related to business structuring documents, fund formations, partnership and LLC tax issues, tax credit and tax-advantaged investments, and transactional documents
  • Providing legal analysis in documents related to equity investments, acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, and tax-advantaged investing

  • Must have excellent written communications skills to produce written work in a concise and effective manner
  • Must have strong presentation skills and is able to clearly communicate advice to clients and colleagues
  • Must have strong analytical skills and can offer unique perspectives on complex issues
  • Demonstrates sound judgment and works effectively under pressure

Technical skills

  • Minimum of 5 years legal experience is preferred
  • Experience drafting legal documents for corporate matters preferred

Other requirements

  • Should be licensed to practice law in the State of Alabama and be in good standing with the Alabama State Bar (or eligible to become licensed in Alabama)
