The role of the Product Information Management Data Analyst involves overseeing and enhancing the quality of product data in the organization's management system. Responsibilities include implementing a structured approach to collecting, creating, maintaining, and distributing master product data. The Data Analyst ensures the integrity of the organization's master product data systems.
Job Duties:
- Creates, enters, reviews, authorizes, and disseminates product master data utilizing diverse tools and workflows.
- Collaborate with vendors and third-party entities to gather and maintain data.
- Handles data requests to facilitate business operations, new product sales initiatives, and mergers and acquisitions.
- Champion excellence and strive for continuous improvement in data quality through cleansing and adherence to best practices in data construction.
- Contributes input to the development of Product Information Management data collection templates and workflows.
- Function as a collaborative data steward within teams, ensuring a clear understanding of business requirements managed in conjunction with data.
- Identifies opportunities for efficiency gains, automation, and enhancement of data quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to address business needs. Ensures the success of data output feeds, troubleshooting and updating as necessary.
Education & Experience:
- Prefer a bachelor's degree in business, operations, marketing, or a related field
- One (1) to three (3)+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Inquisitive mindset, seeking to understand processes and actively contributing improvement ideas.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Familiarity with workflow management techniques such as Lean Six Sigma, Kanban, etc.
- Experience with product information management tools like Stibo and Oracle.
- Knowledge of data Business Intelligence tools.
- Upholds a positive attitude.
