Our client continues to be a dominating leader in the healthcare industry through acquiring new partners, expanding services, and adding business units. Due to several recent acquisitions, they have an immediate need for an additional Corporate Accountant on their team. As the Corporate Accountant, you will work with a team of accounting and finance professionals to maintain account reconciliations, communicate to assigned facilities, analyze financial results, and research and resolve any account discrepancies. The company is extremely employee focused and allows their employees to work a remote or hybrid schedule; however, you must reside in Birmingham to be considered. Primary Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain cash account reconciliations in the subledger
- Analyze various accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Develop and maintain successful working relationships with team members and assigned facilities
- Prepare cash reports on a monthly basis
- Various ad hoc financial analysis on an as needed basis
- Continuously communicate with other team members to improves processes and perform research when issues arise
- Prepare and record general ledger journal entries around assigned accounts
Summary of Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
- Minimum of accounting internship or one year of accounting experience required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with team members across different areas of the company
- Technically sound with the ability to learn new accounting software
