Our client is seeking a technically driven and motivated CPA as their Senior Accounting Policy Analyst. The ideal candidate will thrive on accounting research and being a subject matter expert on all emerging accounting issues. Responsibilities:

  • Research, interpret and apply GAAP accounting guidance to unique situations, play a role in the adoption of new, relevant guidance, and communicate complex topics clearly across the Company
  • Demonstrate ability to apply principles of accounting to analyze and prepare financial information
  • Consult with various business units and support the reporting process of the Company to identify and resolve accounting issues
  • Assist in identification and resolution or accounting issues, special transactions, due diligence
  • Prepare financial statements and footnotes, as well as related supporting documentation, for quarterly and annual filings
  • Assist with the implementation of the new accounting standards
  • Assist with the preparation of the Company’s earnings releases
  • Participate in special projects involving the Company’s acquisition activity and improve processes

 

Requirements:

  • 3+ years’ experience (public accounting experienced required)
  • Bachelor’s degree required and CPA preferred
  • GAAP accounting experience required
  • Strong analytical abilities, strong written and verbal communication skills, research skills, writing & presentation skills, negotiation and consensus-building skills, able to meet deadlines
  • Extreme attention to detail is essential; can-do, will-do attitude and approach, with the ability to influence others towards positive results and actions; focused, timely, meets deadlines, computer literate
