Our client in Birmingham, AL is searching for an ambitious Administrative Assistant to support managers and employees through a variety of task related to the organization.  Successful candidates will be detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines. They are looking for strong, leaders who can think outside of the box.  This position will pay $16-18 an hour depending on experience. 
Job Description:
  • Answer and direct phone calls
  • Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
  • Handle multiple projects
  • Receive and sign for incoming packages
  • Ability to plan and schedule meetings including reserving meeting rooms
  • Reserving shuttles
  • Book catering and obtain pricing details
  • Proofread e?mails and reports for errors
  • Responsible for filing reports
  • Facility management and coordination with vendors
  • Manages calendars for staff, for client meetings and events
  • Assist in resolving any administrative problems
  • Assist with preparation and execution of on?site events and initiatives
  • Run company’s errands to post office and office supply store
Required Qualifications: 
  • 1-3 years administrative support experience
  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree is a plus
  • Flexible in daily routine; ability to prioritize and manage shifting responsibilities
  • Detailed and accurate with numbers including data entry and review
  • Have excellent attention to detail and high-level accuracy with documents
  • Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Must have good problem solving and follow?up skills
  • Manage time effectively in order to accomplish goals
