The Financial Reporting Senior Accountant will be a key contributor to the financial reporting team and will create value for both internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities:
- Prepare account reconciliations and journal entries for certain complex accounts
- Assist the financial reporting team with the preparation and review of the company’s 10-Q and 10-K filings
- Draft financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, statement of cash flows and related disclosures)
- Coordinate with other departments to obtain supporting information for 10-Q and 10-K disclosures
- Perform monthly variance analysis and reconciliation of financial statement data
- Draft and provide support for quarterly press releases and earnings reports
- Research current accounting and reporting issues, trends, and policies to be applied to company operations and transactions
- Assist with any special projects/ ad hoc duties that may arise
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
- CPA or CPA candidate required
- One to three years of relevant experience required with preference given to public accounting audit professionals with a Big 4 or mid-tier accounting firm
- Understanding of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to be self-directed and work collaboratively
