Our client is seeking a manager level accounting professional to direct their accounting department and take lead initiatives in the Company’s mission. The Senior Investment Accountant will play a critical role in strengthening the internal financial management of the organization, as well as the accounting.
Responsibilities
- Record all contributions and distributions into accounting software and ensure they are accurately categorized.
- Prepare financial statements and other various financial reports monthly.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts for investments.
- Review all disbursement requests and ensure they are approved.
- Work closely with the Controller on special projects as needed.
- Monitor certificates of deposit to ensure they are renewed at maturity and open new certificates of deposit upon request.
- Monitor and reconcile long term receivables.
- Provide support and assistance as needed for financial statement audits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
- 1+ years of relevant accounting experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be strong in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
- Previous experience with Investments preferred
- Strong data analysis skills, problem-solving skills and exceptional attention to detail
