We are assisting a large, international company in the Huntsville area to identify a Tax Manager for their team. The company is an industry leader and offers a professional work environment, family-oriented culture and outstanding corporate benefits. In this role, the Tax Manager will have daily interaction with the Executive management team, outside business advisors, and other internal business partners. You will also get exposure to international tax laws and regulations and gain valuable experience with international tax planning. Candidates should have a strong background in federal and state corporate tax regulations, the ability to research complex tax issues, and experience with tax planning to achieve strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities include:
  • Preparation and review of consolidated federal and multi-state tax returns
  • Preparation and review of the income tax provision and related financial disclosures
  • Responsibility over the compliance of the overall tax functions with regard to SOX 404 internal controls and documentation
  • Conduct annual tax planning on operating units and at the corporate level
  • Research tax implication on new strategic initiatives

Requirements
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with preference given to a Master’s degree in Taxation
  • CPA certification is required
  • A minimum of five years’ experience in corporate tax or large public accounting firm
  • Strong analytical abilities and familiarity with ASC 740 income tax accounting standards
  • Excellent technical abilities and the ability to effectively communicate findings and complex tax situations
