This individual will have the opportunity to take the lead on audit engagements, interact closely with high level executives and work with a team of other Staff Auditors.
Typical responsibilities include preparing the following:
- Perform client engagements from start to finish, which includes: planning, executing, directing, and completing non-profit, governmental and low-income housing audit engagements.
- Research and analyze financial statements and audit related issues using firm resources.
- Work with engagement team to identify and resolve client issues discovered during the audit.
- Ensure audit conclusions are based on a complete understanding of the process, circumstances and risk
- Gain comprehensive understanding of client operations, processes, and business objectives and leverage that knowledge on engagements.
- Develop personally and professionally by being active in continuous learning, monitoring industry trends, and applying knowledge to client engagements.
- Interact with key client management to gather information, resolve audit-related problems, and make recommendations for business and process improvements.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- BS in Accounting required
- Minimum of public accounting internship or 1+ years of audit and public accounting experience required
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, and deductive reasoning skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in order to communicate with clients of various sizes and in various industries
- Attention to accuracy and detail
- Ability to work independently and adapt to solve needs of many various clients in multiple industries
