PANGEATWO Charity Golf Tournament, courtesy of the ASCPA, raises record-breaking amount to benefit special needs

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – PANGEATWO, one of Alabama's largest and most established executive search, consulting and staffing firms, raised more than $50,000 to benefit individuals with special needs at its annual charity golf tournament June 6.

That amount is the most ever raised in the tournament’s history.

The tournament was played at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Oxmoor Valley. The Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants' statewide network of Young CPAs, the Birmingham Young CPA Chapter and the ASPCA staff organized the event. Thirty-nine teams and more than 20 sponsors participated in and contributed to the event.

Proceeds from the tournament will go The Exceptional Foundation, a Homewood-based non-profit organization that gives special needs individuals the opportunity to enjoy social and recreational activities. A portion of the proceeds will also benefit the Alabama Society of CPAs Educational Foundation, which awards scholarships to students enrolled at accredited accounting programs at every Alabama college and university.

"We are very excited to have such a large contribution to donate to these very worthy groups,” PANGEATWO President and CEO Jody Jones said. "Not only did we spend the day raising money for good causes, but we also gave professionals the chance to exercise their competitive spirit on the golf course and to form new relationships across borders and organizations.”
