Jody Jones
President and CEO
Leadership determines a company's culture. At PANGEATWO, ours is in the capable hands of President and CEO Jody Jones, whose enthusiasm for helping others transform their lives and businesses is an inspiration to our entire team. Jody manages PANGEATWO's overall direction, supervising executive search projects, initiating business development activities, and ensuring customer satisfaction. He works closely with the Board of Directors to manage the firm's overall performance, quality control, and profitability. In 2010, Jody's impressive leadership and commitment to civic duty made him a finalist for Small Business CEO of the year presented by the Birmingham Business Journal.
Under his leadership, his previous company was recognized as the largest executive search firm in Alabama for several consecutive years and named one of Birmingham's best places to work. Jody spent the first 11 years of his career in the accounting profession, in the areas of financial and operational accounting, project management, and continuous process improvement. He holds an MBA from LSU, BSBA in Accounting from The University of Alabama, and is a CPA (inactive) and a CMA.
Joan Davis
Chief Operating Officer
Pursuing a career that fosters personal satisfaction is a belief we share at PANGEATWO. Few individuals offer a better example of this than Chief Operating Officer Joan Davis. Like other team members, Joan began her career in several of the industries we serve, spending 12 years in Controller and various accounting roles, before redirecting her considerable talents toward client services.
Joan's experience as the Managing Director and Client Service Director for Resources Global Professionals, an international provider of professional consulting services, broadened her foundation in relationship building and professional partnerships around the nation. Her unwavering ambition to connect PANGEATWO clients with the top talent in the market consistently produces exceptionally successful placements. Joan has a degree in business administration and accounting from Birmingham-Southern College.
Holly Tanner
Executive Vice President
A passion for people and developing relationships is a must in our industry. At PANGEATWO we believe this is the only way to truly understand the needs of each individual partner. Holly Tanner, Executive Vice President has always had a passion for the needs of people. Before working in the recruiting industry, she worked tirelessly, developing and managing relationships at the American Cancer Society to raise funds to help find a cure for cancer. Ms. Tanner has utilized her past experiences as well as her near decade in the recruiting industry to hone her relationship building skills to create an environment of trust and true partnership with her clients. She has a broad understanding of the industry she serves and what it takes to successfully provide her partners with outstanding new team members. She received a degree in Business Administration from Samford University.
Ken House
Senior Vice President
Business is fueled by relationships, none more than in our industry. Managing this essential area at PANGEATWO is Ken House, the Senior Vice President. Ken's insightful profiles of client expectations, objectives, and concerns act as the catalyst for successful searches. Prior to joining our firm, he was a Relationship Manager with Regions (formerly AmSouth Bank), advising commercial credit clients in industries he now serves at PANGEATWO. Ken began his career as an auditor with CPA firm, Warren Averett Kimbrough & Marino, advancing to an Audit Manager during his nine-year tenure. He holds a BS in Accounting from the University of Alabama.
Brad Hawley
Senior Vice President
Brad Hawley serves as Senior Vice President to PangeaTwo, a Birmingham-based executive recruiting and staffing firm. As a member of the executive team, he is charged with building and leading the Information Technology practice, while also assisting with overall strategy. Prior to joining PangeaTwo, Brad led the Birmingham practice for a global consulting firm, Resources Global Professionals. Here, he oversaw operational delivery and also led all business development efforts. Previously, Brad was employed with one of the world's leading legal outsourcing providers, CPA Global. In this role, Brad was based out of Washington, D.C. and managed relationships with firms listed in the AmLaw100. During his tenure, he consistently exceeded revenue targets and was often recognized as a leading contributor. Brad also experienced success early in his career as he consistently received performance recognition with a best practice research firm called the Corporate Executive Board. Here, he accelerated revenue production while providing functionally specific intelligence to senior-level business executives.
Brad is an active member of The Phoenix Club of Birmingham, having served on the Board of Directors for 4 years and currently serving as its Executive Vice President. Originally from Cullman, AL, he holds his undergraduate degree in International Business from Auburn University (2000) and is pursuing his MBA from the same institution (2013). While an undergraduate, he was involved in a number of societies and organizations, including Spade Honorary, Student Government Association (Treasurer), and War Eagle Girls and Plainsman. He is married to the former Ellen Magnus and has two children, Webb and Marlen. During his free time he enjoys competing in triathlons, snowboarding, and playing golf.
Mike Murphy
Senior Vice President
Synergy means that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. At PANGEATWO, Mike Murphy is a team member who strives to bring synergistic solutions through teamwork and open communication, seeking to understand the unique business environment of each of our clients and helping them to achieve their goals by building a great team. Mike is chiefly responsible for initiating and maintaining business development activities, building relationships and ensuring continued satisfaction and success for our clients. Put simply, he works closely with our clients, seeking to understand their business goals and align them with their personnel needs.
Mike brings a wealth of experience and perspective to his position at PANGEATWO. A licensed attorney, he began his career as an associate with Birmingham law firm Wallace, Jordan, Ratliff & Brandt. He then spent five years in sales and business development with technology giant Cisco Systems before joining Birmingham-based Rock Apartment Advisors as COO. Mike has also spent time in the non-profit sector, serving Birmingham-based Fixed Point Foundation as Director of Marketing and Development. Mike earned his BA from Auburn University and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Alabama School of Law. He lives in Birmingham with his wife, Lindsay, and their four children.
