Jody Jones

President and CEO

Leadership determines a company's culture. At PANGEATWO, ours is in the capable hands of President and CEO Jody Jones, whose enthusiasm for helping others transform their lives and businesses is an inspiration to our entire team. Jody manages PANGEATWO's overall direction, supervising executive search projects, initiating business development activities, and ensuring customer satisfaction. He works closely with the Board of Directors to manage the firm's overall performance, quality control, and profitability. In 2010, Jody's impressive leadership and commitment to civic duty made him a finalist for Small Business CEO of the year presented by the Birmingham Business Journal.

Under his leadership, his previous company was recognized as the largest executive search firm in Alabama for several consecutive years and named one of Birmingham's best places to work. Jody spent the first 11 years of his career in the accounting profession, in the areas of financial and operational accounting, project management, and continuous process improvement. He holds an MBA from LSU, BSBA in Accounting from The University of Alabama, and is a CPA (inactive) and a CMA.

Greg Powell

President & CEO of fi-Plan Partners, LLC

As President and Chief Executive Officer of fi-Plan Partners, LLC, in Birmingham, Alabama, Greg Powell works directly with clients to enhance their quality of life. The creed by which he conducts his business and life is, "No one is successful or fulfilled unless they touch the lives of the people around them." Powell is an independent wealth consultant with more than 28 years’ experience in the financial industry. He’s a member of the Investment Management Consultants Association (IMCA) and has attended the Senior Financial Advisers program at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School. He also is the creator of Your Financial House®, a management tool designed to bring all aspects of financial planning under one roof.

In 2002, Powell was one of five investment professionals Research magazine inducted into its Advisors Hall of Fame, an honor reserved for those who are, according to the editors, "judged by their clients, their colleagues, and by industry notables as representing the very best the industry has to offer." Along with these professional accomplishments, Powell is the former Chairman of Samford University’s Brock School of Business Advisory Board and the school chose Greg as their 2009 Alumnus of the Year. Greg is also President of the Samford University Alumni Association and an active member of the Athletic Foundation. In 2010, Samford University honored Greg as the Volunteer in Philanthropy with the Alabama Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP).

He is also Chairman of the Board of Directors for the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) of Alabama and the recipient of the NFIB 2009 Small Business Champion Award for Alabama as well as the entire South Region. Powell serves as a Trustee for the Birmingham Business Alliance, the Chairman of the Board of Special Equestrians and the Chairman of the Reach Out and Read Advisory Board. He is also a member of the Board of Directors for the Business Council of Alabama, the Scholarship Committee and Advisory Board with Camp Smile-A-Mile, the Board of Directors for Aldridge Botanical Gardens, and the Board of Directors for the Birmingham Tip-Off Club.

Powell and his wife, Peggy, live in Hoover, Alabama with their three children, Sara, Audrey, and Lydia. Powell is fond of noting that his daughters have been some of his best teachers about the financial profession. They have already given him a profound piece of wisdom and insight into how to make his services and strategies more accessible and more useful. "If I can discuss it with my children, and see their faces light up with excitement and understanding," he says, "then I know I'm ready to share it with the rest of the world."

Timothy E. Taylor

Senior Systems Engineer – Space Shuttle Program

Tim Taylor is the co-founder and former Vice President of Engineering of Endius, Inc.; a Boston based surgical device company. Endius was acquired in 2007 by Zimmer Corporation, the world’s leader in Musculoskeletal Health, in a cash transaction estimated to be in excess of $100 million. Before being acquired, Endius was recognized as one of the fastest growing spinal device and implant companies in the United States. During 2003 and 2004 the company garnered more venture capital investment than any other medical device company of its kind. Investors included Morgan Stanley Ventures, The Carlyle Group, Polaris Ventures, New England Venture Capital, Hickory Venture Capital and Hillman Medical. In 2000, Mr. Taylor hired a seasoned CEO and resigned from Endius to move back to the southeast where he currently works as a Senior Systems Engineer supporting the Space Shuttle Program and NASA’s new manned space flight program HLV-X.

In addition to co-founding Endius, Inc., Mr. Taylor has been involved in the development of many patented products and processes ranging from material science, coatings and surgical devices. Mr. Taylor currently holds 25 patents. He is the chairman of Amendia Corporation; an Atlanta based Spinal Implant Device Company and is the co-founder of the Alabama Information Technology Association (AITA). Mr. Taylor has also served as the President of the Birmingham Venture Club and on The Brock School of Business Board of Advisors at Samford University. He has served on the boards of the Biotech Association of Alabama, TechBirmingham and The Innovation Depot in Birmingham. Mr. Taylor has appeared on National Public Television and Alabama Public Television with NASA.

Mr. Taylor holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Mississippi State University and an MBA from the Florida Institute of Technology.

In 2003 Mr. Taylor published an entrepreneur – non-fiction book, "Launch Fever", in 2003 that received national attention.

Will Hill Tankersley

Partner

Balch & Bingham, LLP

Mr. Tankersley is a Partner in the law firm of Balch & Bingham and is the firm’s senior Intellectual Property litigator. He also has substantial experience in the areas of antitrust and commercial litigation. He is frequently listed in peer-reviewed surveys as "Best Lawyers in America" (in Intellectual Property and Antitrust), "Alabama Super Lawyer" (Intellectual Property), Top Attorney, and "Best in [Birmingham] Bar."

Mr. Tankersley is one of the few intellectual property litigators in Alabama to take trademark, copyright, trade secret and computer cases to judgment. The State of Alabama hired Tankersley as a specially appointed Deputy Attorney General to defend the State in a long running copyright case (Thompson v. Town of Double Springs, et al). He was also on the Alabama Law Institute (ALI) Committee that drafted Alabama's version of the "E-Sign" legislation for Internet transactions and served on an ALI committee that revised Alabama's Trademark Act.

Tankersley is an adjunct professor at The University of Alabama School of Law on the subject of Trademarks and Unfair Competition. Tankersley holds an LLM from New York University School of Law in Trade Regulation (Intellectual Property and Antitrust). His written submission in connection with that degree was on droit morale (moral rights in intellectual property). He has over twenty years of experience in intellectual property litigation. Ten years ago, he led the task force that founded the Intellectual Property, Entertainment & Sports Law Section of the Alabama State Bar. Tankersley was the first Chair of that Section. Tankersley serves as the General Counsel of the Fixed Point Foundation on a pro bono basis. Fixed Point is a Birmingham, Alabama based think tank that sponsors events and teaching on issues of religion, culture and philosophy and that distributes related media worldwide

Mr. Tankersley speaks and writes on a variety of intellectual property and information technology issues. Prior to joining Balch & Bingham, Tankersley served as Law Clerk for Honorable M. Truman Hobbs, United States District Judge, Middle District of Alabama. After college and before law school, Tankersley served as a Regular Army Commissioned Officer in the Infantry and Special Forces.

Holly Tanner

Holly Tanner, Executive Vice President has always had a passion for the needs of people. Before working in the recruiting industry, she worked tirelessly, developing and managing relationships at the American Cancer Society to raise funds to help find a cure for cancer. Ms. Tanner has utilized her past experiences as well as her near decade in the recruiting industry to hone her relationship building skills to create an environment of trust and true partnership with her clients. She has a broad understanding of the industry she serves and what it takes to successfully provide her partners with outstanding new team members. She received a degree in Business Administration from Samford University.
